More than 120 actors and actresses from around the St. Michael, Otsego, Albertville and Rogers (SOAR) area are set to take theater-goers “Under the Sea” with a lively presentation of “The Little Mermaid Junior,” set to run this Friday through Sunday at St. Michael-Albertville Middle School West’s auditorium.
The story is based on the Disney Award-winning movie, “The Little Mermaid,” with three additional songs from the Broadway production included in this rendition. Of course, “The Little Mermaid Junior” revolves around the story of Ariel, a love-struck mermaid who wishes to be part of the human world, but is closely guarded by her father, the ruler of all things underwater. She is stalked by a sea witch, but eventually meets her prince, Eric. Can she convince him that she’s the perfect girl with the perfect voice?
Shows are set for 7 p.m. Friday, March 4; 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, March 5 and 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, March 6. Tickets are available now at SOARArts.com, where you can even choose your seat for the big show.
