After a 2015 in the spotlight due to some controversy over a proposed rink expansion, the St. Michael-Albertville Youth Hockey Association has been skating along. Now, it’s turning to the community for a night of fun of entertainment, as the Knight to Remember returns on Saturday, March 12.
Tickets for the event, which is set for 6 to midnight, are available now via an web page set up by the association. Sales are open to the public via members of the STMA Youth Hockey Association (including RiverHawks parents, of course), as well.
The show will be at the STMA Arena in Albertville, so space will be limited. Regional musical act “Pop Rocks” will return to the STMA area for an evening of performances.
“It’s always a great event,” Bill Robinson, hockey dad and fundraiser, said of the Knight to Remember. “The goal has been to continue to grow it and give it a community focus. The night includes a lot of prizes, donations, cool items to get via auction and some food and drinks.”
There are literally dozens of items up for bid right now, including golf vacations, hockey stick furniture, autographed photos and records (including one Taylor Swift) and much, much more.
