Developing: Fire Damages St. Michael Home Tuesday

March 22, 2016 By Mike Schoemer

Multiple agencies are on the scene at a residence in St. Michael’s Highwoods Development after fire broke out here Tuesday afternoon.

The reports came in of a home on fire in the 4300 block of Mason Avenue Northeast some time after 4 p.m.

St. Michael Fire and Rescue and the Wright County Sheriffs Office were among the first to respond. Albertville Fire, Hanover Fire and Allina Ambulance were all also on scene.

By 5 p.m. flames had been knocked down, but extensive damage was seen in the attic area. Smoke and water damage were also evident.

Deputies blocked off Mason Avenue at Frankfort Parkway while crews dealt with the fire. It remained closed after 5 p.m.

North Wright County Today will have more on this story as official reports are filed.
