An Albertville restaurant location that has seen a couple of changes in the past two years is going to get a new occupant soon.
The former Perkins and John Hardy’s restaurant building has been sold, according to Twin Cities commercial real estate transactions. The proposed new format for the restaurant will be a sushi bar and grill, according to the ownership description and promotional material now hung outside the building off of LaBeaux Avenue/County Road 19, just north of the Albertville Premium Outlets.
The property was listed for just under $1 million. Exact details of the sale aren’t yet disclosed. The property generates about $19,000 in property tax revenue for the state and county annually when occupied.
According to a source who asked not to be identified because of the sensitive nature of the sale and competitive clauses, the new ownership group operates a sushi bar and buffet in Sauk Centre, dubbed “Four Seasons Buffet.” There are other Four Seasons locations throughout Minnesota, including one in Brainerd and another in Marshall.
More information on the Sauk Centre location – which is open Tuesday through Sunday – can be found via the restaurant’s website.
The location figured to be a hot-spot once the announcement of the proposed “Mall of Entertainment” was released to the public earlier this year. The mega-complex, which is set to offer themed restaurants, a hotel and some shopping, would be located less than a half mile east of this current restaurant location.
North Wright County Today will have more information on this story as details become public.
