Boy, 4, Safe after Wandering from Wright County Home

January 6, 2016 By Mike Schoemer

A Silver Creek family was rejoicing Tuesday evening after a 4-year-old boy who wandered from the family home was found near rural road after a more than 4-hour search.

The boy was reported missing between 9:30 and 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5. Wright County Sheriff’s Office deputies called for assistance from multiple first response teams in the search, including Monticello and Albertville Fire Departments, Hanover Fire and Rescue and St. Michael Fire and Rescue.

The family thanked search and rescue efforts with a statement, saying:

“We want to thank everyone for the help and support of the community and friends. We feel so blessed that he was found and brought home safely.”
