The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the body that was recovered in a Monticello marsh on Sunday, November 29, to be that of Tyler Berg.
The circumstances surrounding the death of Tyler Berg is under investigation by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office and Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.
Sheriff Joe Hagerty would like to thank all those that contributed to the search for Tyler Berg including: United Legacy for their coordination of the volunteer search efforts, the many volunteers who spent countless hours searching for Tyler, the City of Monticello for providing a search headquarters, the Monticello business community and civic groups for their generous donations to the search efforts, the Monticello Fire Department, the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Patrol and the Wright County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Patrol.
