The annual Harvest Hunt Medallion contest rolls out today, as First American Bank takes us through St. Michael History toward a shiny prize and a cash payout for the lucky winner.
This year’s search started Saturday, Aug. 8, and runs through Aug. 14, unless some lucky “hunter” finds it first.
The third clue is: There once was a man who was “lude” as he can/
He tried to find ways to sneak/and increase my rents!
Clue No. 2 is: Freeport to St. Michael was to begin/
a journey, and follow
Here’s the first clue, which has become a tradition:
Come one, come all to the Fist American Bank Harvest Hunt.
It is free for all!
Just a few small tasks is all we ask.
Read the rules! – Private property is not OK.
In the city limits stay.
And for gosh sakes, BEHAVE!

Special promo at Dehmer’s
During the Harvest Hunt Medallion contest, a special promotion will run through the week at Dehmer’s. The historic St. Michael history book, “Faith, Family and Farming,” will be on sale for $5 off at the store, which is located between the Colonial Mall and Dairy Queen off Highway 241 in downtown St. Michael.
“Faith, Family and Farming” walks readers through the 120-year history of the St. Michael German settlement, to the creation of the Historic Church and the eventual population growth that led this community into suburban status for the 21st Century. Bob Zahler served as the book’s primary author and researcher.
