Live music, a car show and plenty of freshly harvested produce will be part of August in Albertville’s Lions Park Shelter, thanks to the seventh annual Farmers’ Market series, which is in full swing.
More than 20 vendors are offering their products for sale at the market, which features local growers from the Albertville and surrounding area. Hours are every Thursday through September 24th, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m..
The Lions will host a Classic Car Show Thursday, August 13th from 4 to 7 p.m. Anyone with a classic car is invited to participate in the show. Interested car owners should be at the show by 5 p.m. to be included in the people’s choice competition. There is no fee to enter the car show. Prizes will be awarded to the three most popular cars.
The Lions also will offer limited concessions, brats, hotdogs, and refreshment at all Thursday markets throughout the month.
On the fourth Thursday of August, the Lions will be sponsoring a Concert in the Park. The Castaways, a regional classic rock and roll band, will be performing from 6 to 9 p.m. on the 27th. Bring the family and some lawn chairs and enjoy some great music. The Lions also sponsor Live Music featuring local artists every Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. There will also be a Crafts and Vendor Fair on the fourth Thursday of August.
