Construction Shuts Down Main Avenue in Albertville

July 7, 2015 By Mike Schoemer

The 57th Street Northeast construction project has closed down Main Avenue in Albertville at the downtown intersection Tuesday, July 7.

Traffic is being re-routed to Barthel Industrial Drive or Labeaux Avenue Northeast (Wright County Highway 19) via 50th Street or County Road 37, depending if you’re north or south of the construction area.

Crews are also reconstructing the parking lot at St. Albert’s Catholic Church and the parish center/hall to make room for the widened roadway. Utilities along the route are also being trenched and buried and a new storm sewer system will be put in place.

It’s not clear how long the Main Avenue intersection will be shut down. NWCT will update when more information is available.
