Commuters and those who work outside this summer season might want to check the skies early Monday morning, as a storm system moving out of the Dakotas and into Minnesota overnight might bring a double shot of severe weather to the state.
According to the National Weather Service in the Twin Cities, areas north of Wright County could see heavy rain and some straight line winds of more than 40 mph in the early hours of Monday, June 22.
Then, a second wave could bring heavy rain, some hail and more damaging wind to the southern third of the state between 5 and 9 a.m. Monday.
Stay tuned for more details, but be prepared by following North Wright County Today on social media.
