A severe storm that roared through Sherburne County and the northeastern corner of Wright County dropped a deluge of rain and some large hail on communities as it continued southeast through the Twin Cities metro and all the way down to the southeastern corner of the state.
Meteorologists reported hail as large as three inches in diameter (commonly referred to as ‘golf ball size’) and about a .10 inches of rain in the half hour it roared through Otsego.
Several readers sent in photos of the hail that dropped near Minnesota Highway 101, halting traffic and damaging gardens, fields and vehicles.
