The sister of Leah Demessie is asking for the public’s help as the family attempts to cover costs of the funeral services for the 16-year-old killed in a crash Friday afternoon in St. Michael.
The GoFundMe site states Leah “left behind her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews that thought the world of her and will miss her dearly.” The teen died hours after being airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center on June 12.
Services are set for 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 16 at the Peterson Funeral Chapel in St. Michael. A social/sharing hour will be held at 6 p.m.
