The St. Michael-Albertville Rotary Club is hosting an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 7 at Central Bank, 750 Central Ave. East, St. Michael.
Community members are invited to stop by to learn more about STMA Rotary and how to join this dynamic service club. Light refreshments will be served.
Rotary is a unique organization that stresses “service over self.” It focuses on helping citizens in our community as well as addressing the world-wide challenges of disease, literacy, starvation and clean water.
Locally, STMA Rotary is involved in many service projects, including Beds for Kids, roadside cleanups, and Little Libraries. The club hosts St. Michael’s annual holiday tree lighting celebration and annual art auction, funds an annual college scholarship, and makes numerous donations to local organizations and STMA Schools. Internationally, the club has partnered with the Monticello and Buffalo Rotary Clubs to fund library, hospital and school projects in Cambodia and Guatemala.
STMA Rotary Meets at 7:30 a.m. Tuesdays at the Crow River Senior Center in the St. Michael City Center.
Guests and new members are always welcome. For more information about STMA Rotary, visit www.stmarotary.org or e-mail stmarotary@gmail.com. For information about the Rotary Open House, contact Deb Beise at Central Bank at 763-515-4762.
