After just four years at the helm of St. Michael-Albertville High School, principal Robert Driver is earning statewide recognition in his leadership over Wright County’s largest school.
Driver has been selected as 2015 Central Minnesota Principal of the Year by the Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals.
He previously served as assistant principal.
The award recognizes river as a strong instructional leader committed to building strong relationships with students, staff, parents and community members.
“Mr. Driver has established a positive culture at the high school committed to academic success for all students and high expectations for what it means to teach and attend STMA High sSchool,” Jim Behle, Superintendent of the St. Michael-Albertville School Distrcit, said.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Winona State, a Bachelor of Science degree in education from St. Cloud State University and his Masters of Education from Hamline University.
Driver is now eligible to advance to earn the Minnesota Secondary Principal of the Year Award and the National Principal Award, should he chose to continue in the process. The awards are presented by the association.
