Less than seven months after voters approved a referendum approving changes and improvements at Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose schools, the school district is breaking ground on improvements and additional space at Hanover Elementary.
While that’s great news for students and teachers, it’s a process that, combined with road work along the new County Road 19 trail, will provide a bit of a hassle for parents and area drivers.
Along the trail route, drivers should watch for narrow lane width as barrels are placed along work areas.
Near the school, parents have been instructed to use a new drop-off area, but that can and will cause congestion on both LaBeaux Avenue Northeast (County 19) near the school and on Church Street.
Construction on the new addition will continue through this school year and beyond, so expect some headaches in that area through that last week of school in June.
