The associations, volunteers and groups behind Albertville Friendly City Days, led by the Albertville Lions, will be rallying the community for its annual celebration from June 11 through June 15 this year.
Musical guests have been announced, beginning with Bernie and Guilty Pleasures, a regional blues act, kicking off at the Central Park Lions Stage on Friday, June 12. Headliners “The Rock Godz” will take the main entertainment stage, near the hockey rink, from 8:30 to 10 p.m.
Fireworks will light the sky from 10 p.m. until about 10:30.
Saturday, is a huge day for music, as national recording act and regional country powerhouse 32 Below takes the main stage from 9:30 p.m. until they shut the music down Saturday night. “Mitch Gordon and the Unleaded Band” will take the Central Park Lions Stage. “Standing in Line” will open for the crew from 32 Below.
Along with the live bands there will be sportsĀ tournaments, the Grand Day Parade on Sunday, a carnival, kids’ activities, and lots of great food.
Area merchants will be selling Friendly City Days buttons and Discount Ride Tickets starting Memorial Day weekend.
