Winds Soar, Temps Drop as Spring Takes a Break in Wright County

March 26, 2015 By Mike Schoemer

Wright County residents probably noticed that spring took its own little break this week.

Temperatures well below normal descended on the area Monday and Tuesday and have lingered throughout the week, while winds have been a bit … above normal.

Gusts of more than 45 mph were clocked in Wright County Wednesday, March 25. That sent a trampoline flying into a St. Michael roadway, while countless other homes had downspouts blown off and branches taken down. No major damage was reported, though.

The weather should be a bit nicer through the weekend. In fact, 60-degree temperatures are expected to return to the region this Monday, with the “mercury” flirting with 65 on Tuesday of next week.
