Longtime Minneapolis-St. Paul area accounting firm Copeland Buhl and Company announced its rebranding of the Wayzata-based business’ IT department this week, launching Beyond IT Advisors.
The new business division, headed by partner Aaron Thomas, an Otsego resident and longtime volunteer for the St. Michael -Albertville Rotary Club, will continue to provide customers with information systems solutions, server setup and other information technology needed in today’s business climate.
“Rebranding is a way for us to move beyond being thought of a ‘just an accounting firm,’ and to showcase all of the solutions we can provide to a growing business,” Thomas, who joined the firm in 2000, said.
Beyond IT, a Microsoft Dynamics GP Partner, can offer accounting packages, project/job/unit reporting, matrices, key performance indicators (KPI) and other business intelligence. They can also use staff to assist with integration of warehouse management systems, EDI systems, time and billing, manufacturing and custom applications.
The new business division also assists with server/client networks, both with traditional set up or a cloud-based hosting solution. Beyond IT is also Evault certified and Fortinet certified
“We have the ability, for any business moving beyond that startup phase, to assist with securely networking an increasingly mobile employee base, as well,” said Brent Goedel, who is one of the leads on the Beyond IT team.
IT solutions aren’t new to the business model. CBCO has been offering solutions for more than two decades, Thomas said.
“We’ve been expanding our offering far beyond the accounting software we began with 25 years ago,” Thomas added.
