Lupine Brewers, the brainchild of Mike Dumas, Eric Sargent and James Anderle of Hanover, is applying for both an on-sale liquor license and a small brewers off-sale license for its St. Cloud location. A public hearing will be on Feb. 23 at the St. Cloud City Council.
The brewer is fresh off winning a huge award at the Beer Dabbler, a celebration of beer in conjunction with the Winter Carnival in St. Paul. Lupine was the winner of the Lord Dabbler’s Cup, something the trio called a “total shock” in interviews after the event.
Lupine’s taproom, if approved, would be at the former location of O’Hara’s in St. Cloud, which was most recently McCann’s.
Closer to home, you can grab a pine of Lupine Brown Ale at John Hardy’s Restaurant in Albertville.
