January 6, 2015 By Mike Schoemer

A Monticello teen was injured in a single-vehicle snowmobile crash early Monday as people were headed on commutes to work and school.

According to a report filed by deputies on scene, Alex Praught, 16, Monticello, was riding a Polaris 600XCR when his sled struck a mailbox as it crossed  the county road near 67th Street Northeast. Praught was knocked off the sled in the collision

Praught, who was wearing his helmet, was transported by Allina Ambulance to Mercy Hospital for a possible broken arm and his condition is unknown at this time.
