Shop Saint Michael, celebrating the start of its fifth year in the St. Michael business community, will welcome residents, shoppers and business patrons to the St. Michael City Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24 for its first-ever Winter Business Expo.
The group, which helps locally-owned and locally operated business to expand its marketing reach, established the expo for a new way for owners and managers to reach members of the community, and for a break from the winter “blahs.”
“It’s a win-win, really,” said Shop Saint Michael President Nick Shultz, who serves as Vice President of member First Northern Bank. “For the business owner, it’s a chance to get in front of faces and talk with the people who have made it possible for us to do business and live here in this great community. For the residents, it’s a chance to see what services we have within St. Michael, and get to know the people behind those businesses.”
Established in 2009-2010, Shop Saint Michael is a non-profit organization that works with local members, such as First Northern Bank, Dehmer’s Meats and North Wright County Today, to expand the marketing reach of local businesses. It also benefits local charities and organizations, working closely with groups like the United Way, FYCC, Timber Bay and others.
