The Minnesota State Patrol and multiple officers from Rogers Police Department responded to a multiple vehicle collision on Interstate 94 shortly after 9:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 16.
Authorities confirmed that one person was killed in the crash. The accident occurred in the construction zone on 94 at the Crow River bridge.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened in the eastbound lane of Interstate 94 around 9:17 a.m. Road conditions, according to this editor’s report, were icy thanks to snow that fell overnight last night. Bridge decks were particularly slick.

Rogers Fire also assisted at the scene, while Wright County Sheriff’s Office deputies closed the interstate, eastbound at Highway 241, shortly before 10 a.m. The freeway wasn’t completely re-opened to traffic until shortly after noon, according to witnesses and Police Clips.
