Help Dozens of Wright County Charities, Groups on Give to the Max Day

GiveMN.org is back with the biggest day of charitable giving in the state, and you can assist lots of local organizations with a donation today, Nov. 13.

November 13, 2014 By Mike Schoemer

GiveMN.org is back for the sixth year in a row to help charities all over Minnesota, including dozens here in northern Wright County.

Give to the Max Day is today, Thursday, November 13, 2014. This year marks the sixth annual charitable giving event. GiveMN will be rallying all Minnesotans to cheer on their favorite cause during our 24-hour extravaganza of generosity.

Each year, Minnesotans overwhelm GiveMN with their generosity on Give to the Max Day. Last year donors helped raise more than $17 million for Minnesota organizations in just 24 hours.

This year, donors can just search for your organization on GiveMN.org and donate with a credit card. No registration or set up needed.

Make a difference on the daily commute. This year we are igniting generosity on local transitways by teaming up with Metro Transit for Give to the Max Day 2014. On November 13, use GiveMN.org to make a donation to a favorite cause and donors will be eligible for fun prize incentives and more! There are several ways to participate:

Wear green
Look for GiveMN in downtown Minneapolis during the morning commute on November 13. They’ll be in GiveMN green hats and scarves and offering thousands of dollars in prize incentives to benefit Minnesota nonprofits and schools.

If you’re wearing green, you might earn some of those prize incentives for a favorite cause – and some lucky commuters might receive a $20 Metro Transit Go-To card!

GiveMN will also be handing out free on-the-go breakfast snacks and hot cocoa (while supplies last). Look for GiveMN out along Nicollet Mall, near the light-rail station on Fifth and Nicollet and in the nearby skyway.

Give on the Go
Use GiveMN.org on your mobile or tablet device to make a donation on the go! Our website is designed for multiple devices, and our mission is to make it simple, fun and rewarding to give.

Ride home for free
On November 13, go to GiveMN.org to print a special Metro Transit downloadable pass. Show it to the bus operator or transit police for a free ride home. Good for use on any form of transit except Northstar. No purchase or donation required. It’s our way of thanking everyone for visiting GiveMN!
