On October 25th 10 girl scouts in troops 13037 and 13031 from the River Valleys Service Unit set out along County Road 19 in Hanover to clean up the road side. Accompanied by two adults the girls collected almost 12 garbage bags full of litter. The girls were surprised by the amount of litter that lined the roads, and how people mindlessly throw things out of their cars! They had spectacular weather and the oddest thing they found in the two hours they spent cleaning up the ditches was a satellite dish. All of the girls agree they had a fun time hanging out with friends and making a positive impact in their community. For girls interested in joining Girl Scouts go to www.girlscoutsrv.org/join-us/
