The search for a missing Howard Lake man has become a murder investigation after Wright County Sheriff’s Office deputies and investigative teams recovered human remains at Hutchinson home last week.
The search for Christopher Rossing has resulted in a pair of arrests, and now the execution of a search warrant has revealed crucial evidence, most likely showing Rossing was killed an then burned.
According to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office:
“On Monday October 13th the Wright County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the Robert Nuttall and Gwen Butcher residence, located at 22164 150th St in Hutchinson. Robert Nuttall and Gwen Butcher have been formally charged in connection to the disappearance of Christopher Rossing. The Sheriff’s Office confirms that evidence of human remains, including bone fragments and teeth, were recovered from a fire pit located at the residence. Human remains were also recovered from a corn field located across the street from this address. The evidence was sent to the Anoka County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension laboratory for analysis and identification.
Investigators suspect that additional persons have information relevant to this death investigation and are asking for assistance in identifying those persons that have knowledge about this death or the cover up of that death.
The Sheriff’s Office is requesting anyone with information on the death of Christopher Rossing to contact the Sheriff’s office at 763-682-7637. Investigators are also seeking the assistance of the public and dental professionals in locating clinics where Christopher Rossing may have received dental work.”
