Everyone has a story, and every story is different
Last weekend I flew out to Virginia to spend time with my son Danny, who is 22. Dan is the reason I learned about this program, and is really the reason I became a health coach
As of today he has lost just over 170#. I’m not happy to admit that one of my kids had weight problems that got that out of control, especially with a mom who was an athlete and a personal trainer. But it happened. What I am happy about is that somehow he has found the strength to choose better health. It hasn’t been without its struggles, Danny has fallen off the program many times. But what he has learned is that health is a process, not a destination, and that the only way to fail is to quit.
When it comes to weight control it is a matter of setting your sights on a goal, then making and following a plan that will get you there. Recognize your triggers and develop a game plan for anticipating and dealing with them. Be flexible enough to recognize when your plan isn’t serving you and that something needs to change, and don’t be too proud to ask for the help and support of those around you.
