St. Michael-Albertville School District 885 support staff were among the more than 100 people honored from around 28 school districts by the Resource training and Solutions Center and the State of Minnesota last week in St. Cloud.
Sandee Holsather, Gail Kessler and Shelly Santrizos were honored for their work within the district, supporting teachers, administrators and fellow staff at the eight buildings around the district.
“You are recognized tonight not because of your title, but because of your attitude and commitment to the students and other staff in your schools,” said Rob Cavanna, executive director of Resource Training and Solutions.
Awardees are nominated by members within their school districts. They receive a trophy and a certificate signed by the Governor.
Honorees included bus drivers, custodians, cooks, paraprofessionals and other staff who “help keep schools running smoothly.”
The event was held at River’s Edge Convention Center.
