The St. Michael-Albertville-Hanover Library, located in the St. Michael City Center, has set the following events for October, including its Seasonal Book Sale and a special night for beer lovers in the community.
Toddler Time – Oct. 20
Children ages 18 months to 3 years are invited to Toddler Time at the St. Michael Public Library on Monday, Oct. 20, 10:05 to 10:45 a.m. Toddler Time is for a child to enjoy together with a parent/caregiver. The Oct. 20 theme is Mustaches. Attendance is limited and registration is required. Toddler Time is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
Preschool Storytime – Oct. 20
Children ages 3 to 6 are invited to Preschool Storytime at the St. Michael Public Library on Monday, Oct. 20, 11:00 to 11:45 a.m.Preschool Storytime focuses on stories, fingerplays, songs and crafts to help preschoolers with language and pre-literacy skills. A small snack is also provided. The Oct. 20 theme is Mustaches. Attendance is limited and registration is required. Preschool Storytime is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
Beer and Brewing in the Land of Sky Blue Waters – Oct. 20
Adults are invited to a program titled “Beer and Brewing in the Land of Sky Blue Waters” at the St. Michael Public Library onMonday, Oct. 20, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. This event provides information about the basics of beer brewing. It also explores the history of Minnesota’s beer scene, beginning with Minnesota’s first brewery in Saint Paul in 1849, and including the innovators who have spurred a new generation of craft breweries. Attendance is limited and registration is required. This program is presented by the Minnesota Historical Society. It is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
Friends of the Library Fall Book Sale – Oct. 25
The St. Michael Friends of the Library Fall Book Sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25. Get some great items to update your book shelves. Proceeds go to the St. Michael-Albertville-Hanover Friends of the Library to benefit library services. Donations of materials for the sale will be accepted at the library until Oct. 23.
