Engel Haus, the new and first-of-its-kind senior care facility off of Jason Avenue in Albertville, will mark its grand opening with a huge event set for 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Located at 5101 Kasel Avenue Northeast, the facility covers about half the 15-acres set aside for the senior campus, and includes 63 units of continuum care in southern Albertville. That includes catered living, assisted living apartments and memory care units.
The Bavarian-styled facility includes several gathering spaces, a large cafeteria, chapel and seating areas, as well.
The event next week will include tours of the facility, entertainment from local musicians and dancers, refreshments and a special presentation including building staff, dignitaries and members of the contracting and architectural team.
When it’s fully opened, more than 65 people will be staffed at the new facility. It has space to double in size, should Guardian Angels move forward with a second phase of the Engel Haus complex.
“It’s the people,” said lead architect Ward Isaacson, of Pope Architects, “who will make this house a home for their future. And we think it fits the community very well.”
