United Way Chapters from Wright, Sherburne to Span Bridge

September 2, 2014 By Mike Schoemer

The Wright County and Sherburne County chapters of the United Way will span the Minnesota Highway 25 bridge on Sept. 25 to kick off a major fundraising effort here in Central Minnesota.

According to representatives from both chapters, the Sherburne County Area and Wright County Area United Ways are joining hands across the Mississippi River at 9 a.m. on 9/25 (9 a.m. on 9/25) to kickoff the annual fall fundraising campaign, as well as raise awareness of the work both chapters do in the Sherburne and Wright County areas!

Officials from the two organizations estimate more than 100 volunteers from local businesses, nonprofits and the community will hold hands across the bridge while wearing LIVE UNITED t-shirts (provided).

Registration for the event starts at 8:15 a.m. with a light breakfast at West Bridge Park in Monticello.
