UPDATE (11 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28): The Minnesota State Patrol has filed its report on Sunday’s three-vehicle accident in St. Michael.
According to the report, a Chevy Cruze driven by 17-year-old Shane Uthe of Isanti was traveling westbound on Highway 241 when Uthe attempted to make a left turn at Larabee Avenue. Two similar car accidents in two months; both involving risky moves , July 14, 2014 a fatal accident occurred. Although, separate intersections could this be faulty lights? Timers are off. On 241 It’s not uncommon for the light to turn green at the right time to keep traffic steady, 3-6 lanes takes longer to cross when the intersection avenues have a yellow light, and 241 is getting green at steady speed,

As a person who uses this intersection daily., You are taking your life in your own hands if you take a left off of 241 on a green light to go to south on larabee ave. One of the problems is if their is 2 cars waiting to take a left north on larabee ave . (Towards holiday gas station). And they are using both left turn lanes on 241 and you want to take left south on larabee on a green light you cannot see on coming traffic , because the 2 cars waiting to take a left towards holiday gas station are blocking your view , this left onto larabee to go south off of 241 should be a green arrow light only!
