The Hennepin County Highway 144 underpass project at Minnesota Highway 101 in Rogers is moving closer to fall completion as two lanes of traffic opened to the public this week, moving cars and trucks off of temporary roads onto the new structure.
Highway 101 now has one lane, each, open on both the southbound and northbound roadway as of Friday, Sept. 26. County Road 144 remains closed, however, at the intersection.
It’s the first time the new structure has had southbound traffic.
Crews are closer to their October goal of getting traffic moving in all directions through the new overpass/underpass area. Bridge beams are in place and most pavement is down on the new structure.
