The Minnesota State Patrol has identified the man killed in a car vs. motorcycle crash near Montrose last week.
Robert J. Brau, 21, of Willmar was killed in the crash, which happened on U.S. Highway 12 near Montrose at around 9:30 Thursday morning. According to a preliminary report filed by MSP, a rider on a 2003 Suzuki was struck when the motorcycle collided head-on with a 2001 Chevrolet Impala.
The 17-year-old driver of the car is being investigated. Her name will not be release until the Wright County Attorney’s Office decides whether or not to press charges.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The driver of the car was not hurt in the accident.
The accident comes less than four weeks after a beloved doctor from Buffalo was killed in a motorcycle crash near Lake Francis.
Dr. Eric Lefebvre, who practiced in Monticello and Buffalo, was killed when he was thrown from his bike after a man driving a golf cart pulled in front of him.
A Chaska man has been charged with careless driving after authorities determined he pulled his golf cart out in front of the motorcycle on a Wright County Highway.
