We interrupt this perfect week of summer to bring you the following message: It’s nearly time for back-to-school events.
In fact, next week at the St. Michael-Albertville High School, fall sports will get into full swing with several activities, such as football, starting practices. And, Student Kick Off and Picture Day is set for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12 at the high school, officially kicking off back-to-school activities.

Middle schools will get into the act the following week. Fifth Grade WEB Orientation Day is Wednesday, Aug. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 pm. Fifth grade orientation and picture day is also from 5 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 20, and the fifth-grade walk through is 4 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 21. Finally, walk through for sixth and seventh-graders is set for 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21. (Note: This is for both Middle School East and Middle School West).

The three elementary schools in the St. Michael-Albertville School District will host Open House night from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Fieldstone, St. Michael Elementary and Big Woods. Gyms will be open, classrooms as well and kids can find their lockers and teachers’ rooms.

Finally, Albertville Primary will host Kindergarten Orientation and Picture Day for all students, all of whom will be full-time this year, during the day on Sept. 2, when the rest of the kids will return back to class districtwide.

St. Michael Catholic School
St. Michael Catholic School families may pick up their August family folder in the church gathering space between August 9and August 17. After August 17, family folders may be picked up in the school office.
Families that have children attending St. Michael Catholic Preschool may also pick up their preschool packet from the gathering space during this same time period.
