The St. Michael Lions Club is marking 50 years of service to the local community this year, and it’s doing it in style.
The club, which was known across the Twin Cities metro for its Bierstube celebrations in the 1970s and 1980s, is bringing back the Bierstube for a 50th birthday bash, set for 4 to 11 p.m. Saturday, July 19 at the St. Michael Catholic School parking lot.
There will be live polka music from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m., followed by the music of Todd Hurst from 8 to 11:30 p.m.
Just $25 gets guests a souvenir mug and bottomless beverages, starting at 8 p.m.
A traditional German dinner will be served beginning at 4 p.m. Cost is free, thanks to the United Way and the Lions Club, but free will offerings can (and should) be made, with proceeds benefitting these two great organizations.
NWCToday will have more on how this great event is coming back around next week. Save the date!
