Classical guitarist Jeff Bianchi will perform from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 6, at the St. Michael-Albertville-Hanover Public Library in St. Michael.
People of all ages are invited to enjoy the beauty of classical guitar playing. Bianchi is a native of New York state and began performing in his teens. From 2005 to 2007 he toured nationally as a guitar player with country music acts before returning to his roots as a classical musician. His 2014 concert schedule includes performances in Alabama, Mississippi, Wyoming and other states. He will play a variety of compositions including music from the 17th century as well as pieces for guitar by contemporary composers. This concert is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
