Lucky pets of St. Michael and the Family Youth Community Connections program of St. Michael-Albertville will be teaming up this weekend for a family dog show and Pet Expo at the St. Michael Rec Center, 3150 Lander Avenue NE in St. Michael.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and feature pet adoption, agility demonstrations for pups, training demonstrations and food, photos and fun for both dogs and humans.
Families are invited to bring the pooch for a trim – nail trimming is just 10 bucks.
The dog show will include several categories, with prizes for: Biggest dog, smallest dog, best handler, best trick, best behaved, “waggiest” tail, best costume and best groomed.
Cost to enter is just $10. All male dogs must be neutered and no prong or choke collars will be allowed. Any children handling their dog must be accompanied by an adult.
STMA Area Lost and Found Pets will be on hand with a special display that will have information about missing dogs and cats from around the area.
