The construction of a new senior facility has closed a major cut-through route for Albertville and St. Michael drivers.
Albertville Public Works has closed down Kassel Avenue Northeast south of County Road 18 (Jason Avenue) as construction crews tie the new Guardian Angels Engel Haus community into the city’s sewer and water system.
The road will be closed into next week and the end of July, weather permitting, according to personnel from Guardian Angels.
The new, 60-plus unit facility, which offers assisted living and memory care, is set to open in September.
