Staff and commissioners in Wright County helped unveil a new website for the area Monday, as the county took a “big step forward” to keeping its residents more informed and up-to-date.
The new-look site features easier navigation for those using county resources, staff said.
“This web site has been redesigned with the primary goal of providing easier and faster access to Wright County information. Among several new features, users will now be able to navigate the site with their tablets and Smart phones. The site contains a variety of communication methods to keep the public up-to-date including e-mail notifications, SMS text messages, RSS feeds and GOV 2.0 interaction,” said Bill Swing, Director of Information Technology. “Many of these interactive features will be enhanced over time. The design fundamentally provides the County a platform upon which it can more easily develop on-line services.”
Swing also stated that a new function developed in conjunction with the redesign is the “Agenda Center“. Visitors will now be able to view the full record of the Wright County Board proceedings – the board agenda, minutes, supporting documents, and live and on-demand video.
The redesign project, has been a an effort that included several county departments, IT staff, and staff from contracted developer, CivicPlus.
Residents can access the website and let staff know what they think for a limited time.
