St. Michael native and current Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Matt Spaeth will welcome more than 100 friends, family members and local supporters to the sixth annual Matt Spaeth Charity Golf Tournament, set for a noon shotgun start Friday, June 27 at the Fox Hollow Golf Course in St. Michael.
Last year more than 140 golfers signed up for and participated in the event, which has raised more than $25,000 for the Hanover Food Shelf, as well as thousands of dollars for the St. Michael-Albertville youth football program and the St. Michael-Albertville Student Fund.
The day features beverages offered by Dahlheimer Beverage, the event’s Title Sponsor. It also has hundreds of items up for a silent auction, including autographed footballs, jerseys, tickets, golf gear, hotel packages and more. Plus, there’s 18 holes of golf (weather/water permitting) and a lot of good fun.
For more information on this event, check out the tournament website. The tourney is still accepting registrations this year, and hole sponsorships are just $200 for those who want to chip in for the cause.
