Iowa Man Faces Charges after Alleged Abuse of Granddaughter

June 24, 2014 By Mike Schoemer

An Independence, Iowa man is facing felony charges after he was arrested on charges of criminal sexual conduct in Otsego earlier this month.

WrightCoSheriff2Allan Bruce Oline, 67, was arrested June 6, 2014 after he, allegedly, inappropriately touched his 6-year-old granddaughter while visiting her home in the Otsego area.

In an interview with Wright County deputies, according to a complaint filed in Wright County District Court, Oline told officers he touched the girl’s skin on her butt and other areas below the waist. The girl, in an interview with Wright County Human Services workers, corroborated that report, saying her grandfather had touched her below the waist over three days in early June during a visit in the victim’s home.

Oline has been charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct, which carries a maximum sentence of 25 years in jail and/or a $35,000 fine.
