Crow River Floods Major Route in Rogers, Dayton

June 25, 2014 By Mike Schoemer

If road construction in the Rogers area wasn’t a big enough problem for commuters, flooding is making things an even bigger mess.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has closed 147th Avenue Northeast in Rogers between Frederick and Brockton Lane, a major “detour” for those who have been left stranded by the Hennepin County Highway 144 construction project in Rogers this summer.

The road has been flooded over by the Crow River as water “waits” to get into the already overflowing Mississippi River at the Rogers/Otsego border.

The road closure will not affect the detour for Hwy 101; however, it may affect people who use Brockton Lane to bypass construction.
