Don’s Auto is marking 60 years in business this week, and they’re kicking off the weekend early with breakfast, lunch and treats “on the house.”
The family-owned business, now run by Gordy and Theresa Berning, also features longtime technicians (and friends and family members) Greg Berning, Ken Weber and Tom Dwinnell.
The BP station along 60th Street (County Road 37, near the Albertville I-94 interchange) became Don’s home after a couple of transitions. The business started, of course, right on Main Street in Albertville, in the building that’s now home to Albertville Body Shop.
The crew will be celebrating from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. with breakfast both Thursday, June 5 and Friday, June 6. Lunch will also be served both days from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will also be door prizes and specials on service and car maintenance.
