A sun-up slow down is happening right now in Monticello after a semi-truck burst into flames about 6:15 a.m. Wednesday east of Monticello’s County Road 18 exit on Interstate 94.
Fire crews from Monticello were on scene trying to control the blaze, which shut down one eastbound lane and crowded the on ramp from Wright County 18 to the freeway.
Road construction in the area is also slowing down this morning’s commute, as work continues on the interstate between the two Monticello exits this week.
