Thugs Rob Wright County Home During Funeral

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is searching for suspects in a robbery investigators believe happened while a widow was attending her late husband’s funeral.

According to a release issued by Sheriff Joe Hagerty Thursday, officers from the Wright County Dispatch unit were called  at 3:29 p.m.. Officers from Wright County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in the 55oo block of 57th Street Southeast in Franklin Township (near Delano).

WCSO BADGE_1The homeowner and person reporting, Anne Crowley, had just returned home from her husband, Steven Crowley’s funeral and discovered that the house had been burglarized.

The burglary occurred sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 2:25 p.m. Wednesday, April 16. The exact loss is undetermined at this time.

A possible suspect vehicle was described as an older Suburban-style truck, charcoal grey in color.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Wright County Sheriff’s Office at 763-682-1162.
