Local students will be out of class on Friday, and some won’t even have school on Thursday, in observance of the Easter holiday this weekend.

School’s Out Matinee – April 17
Visit the St. Michael Public Library on Thursday, April 17, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. to enjoy the Disney version of Hans Christian Anderson’s “The Snow Queen.” This matinee is for ages 3 to 17.
Make and Take – April 17
While at the St. Michael Public Library on Thursday, April 17, teens and children ages 3 to 17 are invited to take part in a Make and Take crafting activity. Check at the library desk for more information.
Read to a Dog – April 19
Children may read to Taurus, a certified Reading Education Assistance Dog, at the St. Michael Public Library on Saturday, April 19, between 10:30 a.m. and noon. Children in kindergarten and first grade only are invited to register for 15 minute one-on-one sessions. Taurus is trained to listen patiently. This activity improves children’s confidence in their reading skills.
