With temperatures flirting with 60 degrees Sunday and Monday and most of the snow that fell during the first week of April now being stored in water hazards, area golf courses are opening to local players.
Cedar Creek Golf Course announced Monday it would open the driving range Monday afternoon, and the golf course would be open to walkers by Wednesday morning. Carts would probably be playable by Saturday, after Wednesday’s 70-degree temperatures are forecast to dry out some of the wet areas on the course.
Up the road in St. Michael, Fox Hollow announced Monday it would be opening its driving range Wednesday, April 9. The course is expected to open to all golfers by Friday, according to the club’s Facebook page. That’s, of course, weather permitting.
And nearby Riverwood National Golf Club in Otsego is set to open to all golfers, walkers and riders, by Thursday afternoon. It will be open for walkers on Wednesday.
We will add local courses, including Monticello Country Club and Wild Marsh (Buffalo) Golf Club as the week unfolds.
