While Easter Sunday is still more than a week away, the celebration of the springtime holiday begins tonight, Thursday, April 10 in Albertville thanks to Family Youth Community Connections.
FYCC will host “Bunny Bingo” from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Albertville City Hall this evening. There will be plenty of games, cards and dobbers for everyone, but come early to get the best seats. Cost is just $10 per family.
FYCC keeps the weekend rolling Friday night with a Mother/Son Hoedown at St. Michael City Center, with music and family fun for moms and sons from 6 to 8 p.m.
Then, the big event hits Saturday morning, as The Albertville Lions Club hosts the annual Easter Egg Hunt on the grounds of Albertville City Hall, with action starting at 10 a.m.
Due to the popularity of this event, the Lions urge families to arrive early and to participate by following the ground rules set for EACH child age group. Everyone will get some sort of treat or prize.
The Albertville Lions may move the event to Central Park by city hall if it doesn’t rain. The hunt will start promptly at 10 a.m. and last until all eggs have been picked up. Each child will be able to pick 5 candy eggs. They will also receive a goodie bag and two prizes.
This event is free to kids ages infant to 10. There will be free pictures with the Easter Bunny (please bring your own camera). Financial Security Bank will be facepainting, and this year Kremer’s Toys will sponsor a take home craft.
