Albertville will be celebrating it’s 27th Friendly City Days June 11-15, 20114.
Albertville Friendly City Days is packed with activities for all ages. The event will be running from Wednesday, June 11 through Sunday,June 15th. Friendly City Days has some Great Entertainment to offer the thousands of people who are expected to come to Albertville for Friendly City Days.
Thursday, local bands from the area will perform in front of their peers showing their talent during the Garage Band Exposition.
A regional Bluegrass favorite, “The Dead Pigeons”, will kick off the music at 7 p.m. Friday. “The Shane Martin Band,” a national recording artist, will finish out the night from 9 p.m. to 1 p.m. on the main stage. Friday will, of course, also feature the annual fireworks show.
On Saturday George Jundt, a local concertina player, will entertain during the spaghetti dinner at 5 p.m.“Farmer’s Daughter,”, a regional Country favorite, and “The Creeps”, a local Rock and Roll favorite will both perform from 7 to 10 p.m. at local establishments near the AFCD celebration. “The Rock Godz,” a regional rock n’ roll favorite, will take the stage from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Along with the live music, there will be the carnival, garage sales, food, fireworks, a parade, sports tournaments, and lots of fun activities for the kids.
