Arnold Zachman, the owner and operator of one of the more recognizable dairy farms in Wright County, died at his home Saturday, March 15. He was 89.
Arnold and his wife, Mary (Dahlheimer) Zachman were one of the pillars of old Frankfort Township, which is now the eastern corner of St. Michael. He was a dairy farmer there for decades, with his family, including sons Ken, Greg and James and daughter, Susan.
His daughter, Joanne, died in 1962. Mary passed away in 2009.
Arnold was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Michael Catholic Church, where he was head usher for many Sundays.
Funeral services for Arnold Zachman were Thursday, March 20 at St. Michael Catholic Church, with visitation held Wednesday, March 19 at Peterson Funeral Chapel. The Knights of Columbus led the Rosary prayer service.
Interment was at St. Michael Cemetery.
